Wii Port Forwarder
« on: May 16, 2010, 01:22:29 am »

I got the forwarder working now.

Creat a folder on the root of you sd card.
Name it to "forwarder".
Move UQM boot.dol file to sd:\forwarder. Rename boot.dol to default.dol
Folder contents should be:
default.dol (was boot.dol)

Leave everything else in sd:\apps\uqm  <-----EDIT: Had moved it when I shouldn't have. Thank you Zared.

You will need the ability to install wads. Try "gbatemp" for info on how and what you need to acomplish this. Multi Mod Manger is what I use.

Now use the homebrew channel and load Multi Mod Manager to install this wad.

WARNING. TAKE CARE TO HAVE BACKUP PROTECTION SUCH AS PRIILOADER OR BOOTMII AS BOOT 2.
JUST IN CASE OF BANNER BRICK. I TESTED ON MY WII WITH NO PROBLEMS. END WARNING.

Now you can load the game from it's own channel instead of going through the homebrew channel.

wii... that was fun... Tongue

This Wii Channel Forwarder looks great, but the link has been taken down. Would anyone happen to have the file, or have a link that DOES work? Thanks for the effort!

It will take me a little time to remake the forwarder, I am rather busy at the moment. If your handy with picture editing, check out Postloader. It's what I moved on to. I no longer install channels onto my wii. Much safer I think.
