As you can see, the Ur-Quan Masters forum is back online. However, our last backup was from 21 November, so unfortunately a lot of postings are lost. There's no need to repost your bug reports though, as we wrote them down whenever we read them.

We don't know yet what position sf.net takes on this accident officially, but seems as most dynamic content of all of their hosted sites have been deleted. It was impossible to run the forum on sf with secure settings (their server security really sucks). We apologize for losing a lot of posts and registered accounts, but we really couldn't do anything for it, as sf.net backup policy says they won't restore stuff themselves in this case.
Luckily Meep-Eep was able to arrange new hosting so quickly, so anything like this shouldn't happen anymore in the future.
Every page on the forums is loading from the cache, instead of refreshing from the server like any dynamic site would do. I'm no HTML wizard but it seems like something is missing from the template.. or something.

If these visions have offended, thing but this and all is mended : You have but slumbered here while these visions did appear. And this weak and idling theme, no more yielding than a dream.
I can also arrange hosting as well, so you always have another backup host to fall on
BTW, did we lose any other interesting conversations about the interal workings of the game? I only copy and pasted the info on the Slylandro Probes, Orz marines killing rate, and Energy Regeneration for the flagship.
