I'm a bit confused all about it... every race you talk with about the ultron(Supox, Drugge, Melnorme and even the commander's sum) saying that the Ultron is pretty much a piece of junk, am I right?
on the other hand... the commander saying that the Ultron IS a Precursor artifact....  so how could something made by the Precursors has no use? please explain...

Well, I think most people call it junk because they have no idea of what it does and how it does it. also, it may not do anything for them, only for creatures with brainwaves similar to the Utwigs. so for them it owuld be junk. Also, the precursors were an advanced civilisation, but it is possible that they produced junk as well. A portable CD player, fitted with a nuclear battery, with a CD on an endless loop playing a message akin to "You're not too dumb, and you'll do just fine, trust your own judgement", would be a treasure for some poor englishspeaking nation after WW3 blasts us back to the stoneage, making them feel better about themselves, and in time giving them the idea that they need it to do alright. For anyone speking japanese though, it'd just be some sort of prewar junk.

Ok, it's a fact that the Ultron is just a piece of crap no matter who's using it, all cuz the druuge wanted the bomb, but before they could say anything, the utwig thought they already knew what the druuge wanted--historical stuff... and that's not correct so it is a piece of crap but why would the precursors create a piece of crap?!

Well, quoted from the game, if you analyse the repaired Ultron:

SUBJECT: Ultron.
DATA: We have determined that the so-called `Ultron' is in fact the `Appendages of Dawn'
described in the Precursor fragment found on Rigel in 2123.
In the partially translated Precursor text, the device is described as a `Mental Amplifier'
which focuses the mental energies of the holder `for the purpose of discrete change'.
Unfortunately, human brain emanations do not seem compatible with the Ultron
nor do those of the allied species we have tested.
SUMMARY: Perhaps the Utwig, who claim to understand this device, can shed some light

Doesn't sound that much like crap to me. Sounds lke something that only works for some people. I doubt the Druuge, with their materialistic way of thought would be able to do anything with it, and therefore they considered it crap...

so.. the Utwig tricked the druuge intentionly or just because they believed the Ultron had powers which it hadn't

so from the sum of the commander, the druuge didn't know that the ultron actually is powerful, and possibly be used by 'special '

ok I'm pretty new at SC and I got SO MANY other questions about it.... it's a very interesting and fascinating game I must say

just tell me if the kohrah wins and I lose, will the kohrah look for the taalo's realm? it's their objectives to seek and destroy all life on the universe to insure 100% security no?

what happens if I win the game without visiting at beta corvi for destruction code for the probes?

the kohr ah will start cleansing all probes??????????  :o

Probably, but before it they will cleanse you so you can't know

Well, that's what I think anyway.



The Kohr-Ah probably aren't aware of what the Orz refer to as the Taalo playground, and the Orz probably wouldn't tell them. Besides, noone in the SC universe has any information on the Taalo, other than what the Orz give you, so probably noone believes that the Taalo are alive.



If you win, the Kohr-ah wont cleanse anything at all. But I'd say that the New Alliance will have a major probeinfestation to mop up. If you lose, the Kohr-Ah will blast them out of the sky. Wether they'll find the Slylandro or not is another question.

say.. if you sell the portal spanwer to the druuge, what will happen? will the arilou be mad at you?

it's hard to think that the urquan and the kohrah, that has huge info about the region(they looked for a planet for the syreen), never found the natural portal to quasi space

the most disappoiting thing in the game, that the kohr ah said the melnorme(mael-num) ran before they could destroy them, since the first doctorinal war began, and the kohr-ah said they have never seen them since the first war. but theres a SUPER-SYSTEM inside the kohr-ah's region!!!! how they couldn't see the melnorme survived and existing? they talk about them like they're not here

what i think nice is that taalo were some smartass race smarter then the urquan, while faking their death, and moving on

the chmmr say they will(before you free them) crack the slave shield eventually, handle both urquan and there 'dreaded' sa-matra

one more thing, what is that MetaChron that the Melnorme mention? they say they will may be gone after fab 2159

why? does it has anything to do with the Ur-Quan?

I think one of the bits of info you can buy off the Melnorme is that they're still around... somewhere...

EDIT: Oops, I was in error. The Melnorme say that the Taalo were 'eliminated'.

Full points for quick reply. However, that's information from the Commander, and only shows that they know that there used to be another race there long before the Synth moved in. Nothing there would give you reason to believe that they are still around...
