I finished my second remix of QuasiSpace music just couple hours ago. The first remix which I made few months back is better so it waits for the UQM remixing project release. This new remix on the other hand is here for you all thirsty people.

To replace the UQM 0.3 QuasiSpace music with this one put it into content directory under lbm/ directory. I'm too lazy to create zip package for one file ;) Create the directories if necessary.


I made this remix in a about two hours, so don't expect too much. It stays very close the original in details and song structure :)

Sweet. To tell the truth, I hated the 3DO's Quasispace music. The PC versions was so much better.

The biggest problem with the PC QuasiSpace music (which Mark has remixed here) was that the arrangement and samples were quite crude. This is not a problem with Mark's version.

I found the tune quite uninspired and repetitive in the original version (at least compared to the other music in SC2). Trying to remix it into shape may be like trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Decent job, but one can tell it was done quickly.

Personally, I prefer the 3DO music even though I've never played 3DO SC2.

Maybe I'm a PC version purist, but I felt the song didn't fit Quasispace. I'm not saying it's bad, but I still didn't like it.

I thought Mystic Shadows was a well done piece, considering how simple it is.

The original music is good but this one is better.... It gives more mysterious and unknown feeling and relaxing too... The 3do music is good too(again) but you feel something is missing....

This one isn't bad, but you've heard nothing yet. MarkVera's first QuasiSpace remix (the one that  is to be part of the remixing project) is in my opinion the best remix that the remixing project produced (so far). With the new remix, you've been fed the scraps. :)
There are many more pretty remixes waiting for you btw.

As Meep-eep said, there's that first remix I made of QuasiSpace which will be in the remix package. It's much more carefully done and offers a lot more. No talk about uninspiration or repetitive in that remix :) Few have heard it already, and one said, "hmm, i think i'll be taking the long routes through quasispace soon" .. just to be able to hear the whole song :)

Probably no. ;)  I have made two battle songs, and I will finish remixing all the ditties today (four day project). Not sure if all of my ditties will be used as there are few other ditty remixes too. Atleast my personal project of remixing all the SC2 songs is closer after finishing the ditties (which is 26 shorties, including the redalert encounter at hyperspace).

Bummer, it was worth a shot though.

DITTIES...OMG the ditties are getting remixed...you people are evil bastards! When is the new music getting released? MUST HAVE DITTIES (specially Synth and Sly, they kick ass)

Why you always make Riku look bad? In all your posts about remix you say you did your job but he didn't. It isn't nice!

Uh? I don't know the release date, nor it has been set yet. Riku prepares the annoucements for the remixing project when he feels it's right time :) Riku has no doubt remixed majority of the remixes (still working on some of those, and so am I on my remixing). I just talk about my remixing, I won't start talking about other peoples' work unless they ask me to.

Now calm down and go to play UQM 0.3  8)

When is the remix pack expected to come out?

B.T.W. This remix is quite good, rivaling the one done by Rush a long time ago.
