Title: Useless data Post by: Chrispy on September 17, 2003, 01:26:49 am i have figured out what most of the data about every single planate it, but what do they all me
Title: Re: Useless data Post by: Michael Martin on September 17, 2003, 02:33:08 am If I understand the solar system generation code correctly, most of that information is just "color". However, the tectonics/weather/firestorm data is derived from the astronomical data (atmospherics, closeness to sun, size and gravity).
I think axial tilt doesn't do anything but look cool on the planet screen. (And it's easier to figure out what the data is if you switch the displays to PC mode.) Title: Re: Useless data Post by: Chrispy on September 17, 2003, 04:08:45 am i dont know for sure, but that seems like too much work for such a small change in gameplay

That appears to be completely random, and is supposed to be because the away teams aren't really very good pilots. Title: Re: Useless data Post by: guesst on September 17, 2003, 10:53:02 pm You could always use the PC style menu (command line option.) I haven't tried it, but the PC version used words for all that stuff.

All the wind on a planet with no atmosphere... and geez, what are we paying this 3 RU training for if they never LEARN anything? |
