Title: UQM Philosophy Post by: Captain Smith on October 01, 2003, 07:41:05 pm A good question I thought of - If a Shofixti and an Arilou fight, and the Shofixti detonates his glory device, could an Arilou teleport away fast enough to not be hurt? ;D
Title: Re: UQM Philosophy Post by: Captain Smith on October 01, 2003, 07:49:26 pm The real gameplay answer btw, is SOMETIMES! I took down 14 shofixti with 6 of my Arilou going down doing that exact thing... But interesting thought to get your thoughts going...how does the Arilou know the Shofixti is going to press the button? ;)

Maybe it's a Jedi mind trick. p.s. am I the only one who is reminded of a Pkunk quote ("Only sometimes!") when they read Capt. Smith's post? ;D Title: Re: UQM Philosophy Post by: Slylendro on October 01, 2003, 08:56:00 pm if the shofixty is getting close it just detonates - simple as that
and i think i was successfully avoiding the detonation more then once... They'd just "feel" when the Shof was about to atomize itself and teleport away ne'er but a fraction of a second earlier.
Title: Re: UQM Philosophy Post by: Captain Smith on October 03, 2003, 05:54:56 am Another good question...if a Syreen sucks off the Pkunk crew and promptly blows the Pkunk away after its crew are collected, and the Pkunk resurrects, has the crew there truly resurrected?
Title: Re: UQM Philosophy Post by: Death 999 on October 03, 2003, 09:44:08 am Well -- consider that the corporeal entity is not the true person... so the Syreen get the corporeal body, but the Pkunk spirit is gloriously reborn into a new one. Remember that the Syreen song, once the crew is aboard, is permanent and basically erases (kills) the person underneath.
