Hi there!

good work, you've done, and are still doing.
i think i have a suggestion for you to do an addon.
i would do it myself, but i lack the time for that enterprise

so: what about doing the large planet exploration view where you're moving the lander around into voxels? a voxel engine should be easy in c++
the back of the planet lander should be billboarded in 3rd person view or omitted if 1st person view

please state your opinion

well u said it fancily, but i understand right that u want the planate lander view behind the cockpit. i like it, but it doesnt fit starcontrol. u need the ability to c behind you.

Not if you used the entire screen and installed a radar screen or even a radar overlay.

It is a bit of a departure form SC2, but IMO it's worth investigating.

so you u have the cockpit view, but u also have a sort of scanner, possibly from the vindicator flying overhead, that tells u what minerals/aliens/planate hazarts are all around you. thats actually a good idea. it doesnt fit sc2 quite well though. maybe if u make something else.
