Title: Question about the ending sequence Post by: FalconMWC on November 25, 2003, 08:56:04 pm I imagine that most of you have watched the ending video for SC2. During the video as your ship gets closer to the Precursor battle platform it takes several hits. A total of about 22 hits (I had trouble counting) including 8 in the "Fragile Crystals" and 11 in the cokpit. (3 of them at point blank range) How can the ship survive that? In battle against the ur-quan ships with 50 people aboard it can take about 8 fusion blasts and about 9 blades.
Anyway, I think it is one of those things to make the movie look better - but is there anyway to explain it rationaly that you guys can think of? Title: Re: Question about the ending sequence Post by: Culture20 on November 25, 2003, 11:21:44 pm Either the Precursors were worse weapon designers than the Ur-Quan, or the 3DO version of SC2's ending isn't to be trusted. In the PC ending, the Service Vessal recieved no incoming fire.
Title: Re: Question about the ending sequence Post by: guesst on November 26, 2003, 08:06:53 pm You know, once you drop the shields it doesn't shoot at you again anyways. So the 3do vid, dramatic as it is, is not to be trusted.

I dunno lol Title: Re: Question about the ending sequence Post by: Fsi-Dib on December 04, 2003, 01:10:26 am Do not trust the 3do! Noooo...
But anyways, I haven't actually seen the 3do ending, but what I just read, I find it somehow illogical, unless you just leave the defense thingies fly around and get to the Sa-Matra. |
