Title: Re: My first piece of computorised music Post by: Deep-Jiffa on January 04, 2004, 08:55:37 pm hmm, no offense but I don't think it fits for sc opening(that is what I get from the name of the song...) and it isn't good enough for it... it will be one hell of a job creating a good opening for uqm... opening for me need to "fit" the game.
Title: Re: My first piece of computorised music Post by: Chrispy on January 04, 2004, 08:56:41 pm haha, no. I dont know why I called it opening, but it isnt related to sc in any way (cept insparation).
Title: Re: My first piece of computorised music Post by: Deep-Jiffa on January 04, 2004, 08:58:31 pm Oh, my bad. So it is a NICE track overall. I can expect excellent tracks from you in no time :)

Title: Re: My first piece of computorised music Post by: umgahbob on January 05, 2004, 12:11:15 pm It sounds like track music. I kinda like it.
Title: Re: My first piece of computorised music Post by: Rib Rdb on January 05, 2004, 12:21:05 pm I like it. It sounds better than most of my first pieces.
Title: Re: My first piece of computorised music Post by: Fsi-Dib on January 05, 2004, 04:16:14 pm Sounds better than my first, but I ... I have been tracking for almost 2 years, and I still suck. :P
Probably the problem is that those tunes don't fit in with each other ... or heck, I'm no one to judge you! :D I'm still unsure if I want to publish my puny doings. :-X Title: Re: My first piece of computorised music Post by: Death 999 on January 05, 2004, 09:32:51 pm I do like the initial drum lead-in.
However, when it comes time for the main tune, I like the stick beat you use midway through much more than the thicker beat you actually use. Especially for initial exposition, I'd use that thinner beat. The synth and xylophone runs are pretty good, and they work very nicely with the main tune. When you have the growling voice take the tune, you could be developing a bit more... perhaps the growl also do something with the harmony, a little counterpoint? Nice job, especially for a first shot. Title: Re: My first piece of computorised music Post by: Chrispy on January 06, 2004, 01:41:55 am oh ya. I first wrote this on finale, so I could see the notes, and such. That was before I took harmony 3 though, so the weeble is only straight octaves. I think I will try some different harmony.
How about the samples. I love the bells, but someone said they don't fit. Title: Re: My first piece of computorised music Post by: Death 999 on January 06, 2004, 02:19:53 am The bells (I guess I interpreted it as Xylophone) sound good.
