This Topic is solely to brag about ur icon (OK i'm bored and have nothing better to do).  My icon believe it or not is from an NES game "The Guardian Legend "  Try Tileing it on your desktop looks like u frag ur cpu.

Okie Dokey then;  My current avatar is an animated gif of a Thraddash with a giant lava-lamp behind him.  It was going to be a giant spinning neon flower, but I couldn't find a suitable picture.  Future incarnations of the avatar might include penguins on monitors and groucho marx style gag-glasses on the Thraddash.

Why the lava lamp?  When I signed up on the TW forums several years ago, either Orz or the Fot gave me the title "Thraddash Flower Child".

Don't listen to him, he is just to ashamed that he can't switch this embarrasing icon he has right now. What is so embarrasing? Look on the Thraddash ffs!

Well, if you go back to the outermost layer of the forum, you'll see this nifty little thing near the bottom of the screen. It's in a dark blue bar, and it shows you who all is online.
Maybe that'll give you an answer.

I knowbut, when I post and when  I come back say ahalf hour later I see 4 replies NERCO, DEEP  JIFFA, FALCON and CULTURE 20.  And its only u 4.

Is it just me or does the girl in DJ's icon look like her neck is snaping at the end/begining of the animation? Jeez, man, if you wanted to show some bouncing breasts, why not do something classy and show her face too?
Or don't you want us knowing what your mom's smile looks like?

Aside from th fact that I don't agree with you on this topic, just take a look at the top 15 posters in the members section. Notice that the top 8 are not mentioned by you? (With the exception of DJ) Maybe it appears like it, but I am a minor poster compared to D_999 or  Lukipela or DJ or Necro99 and many others.

First, did I ever do anything to you that you try to insult me with lame jokes?

Second, what is the problem with the icon? It isn't like I taped it...  ::) ::) ::) ( I found it on the net).

The problem I see with your icon is that many people will find it annoying and/or offensive.

My Icon is a Androsynth ship. I chose it because I admire its sleek grace, and because Androsynth used to be my favourtie race.

What is the problem with DJ's avatar? It's some woman walking down a street. Yes, you do not see her face. Yes, it's centered aroudn her chest. So what? She's not naked, she isn't making any sexual innuendo, she's just walking. What's there to be "disgusted" about? You may as well be disgusted about some stupid cartoon animated character that keeps yelling and waving its fist.

my NEW icon is Asuka from Neon Genisis Evangelion, A good series. If watched do not watch the last 2 eps, Its better that way.

My icon is the view of two Androsynth. As you can see, perfect, identical clones of one another. No genetic mutations, no identity flaws, nothing but perfect symmetry.
(Except the Elvis hair, which is, indeed, not symmetrical.)

All the androsynth I have seen have that style of hair. (Of course I have not seen many.)

All joking aside, I don't think that there is anything wrong with DJ's icon. Or any of the other ones on this forum. I think that it's interesting that his is one of the few (besides my own) that has nothing to do with the UQM game.

What I love is DJ's little smilies in his signature.

It's fun just to start S*** with DJ he (I hope DJ's a he) he takes everything WAY TOO seriously. It's Entertaining just to watch (read) ya'll argue with ever other.



FYI: my icon IS NOT S-related actually it pre-dates it older that some if not most forum members back to 1988.

I hate those damn things. In fact, that whole signature pisses me off. Still, there is that busty woman which more than counter-balances for it.

i take it there is animation in djs icon? i cant see it, because i filtered out animation and ads and pop ups. god i love zone alarm. but im sure bouncing milk factories are nice in there own way. i married a set of them myself. but thats another story...

my icon is a frozen shot of animation from the 3do opening FMV. it is, of course, the Precursor ship (being assembled) on vela 2. to me, nothing says "fun", like building your own alien starship. and useing that alien technology, to kick the crap out of star ferring bullies.

plus i like the color in it. the reds and oranges really blend well. plus the Zeemon star in the back ground is a nice touch.

Yea, my avatar is kind of distracting. That is why I choose it! But, I don't think it is the best one... I think the title of the best one goes to D999, he keeps bringing good quality avatars and the last one is just...  :'( (from joy, from joy.... ;) )

I like D_999's the best. - next I think would come... ummm.... well maybe... Luki's and necro's are tied in my book - I know - I just like the look of the androsyn......     :-/

Intersting thread. There's my first not so optimal attempt at a signature. Guess I'll have to do some more work, but that's damned fun!

Well, as you can probably see, I'm very much a novice in the graphic arts, I have neither the skill nor the patience to make very nice graphics I'm afraid. So I go with Paint Shop, which came with the computer a loong loong time ago. Version 7 or some such I think.

That said, graphics are an interesting thing, and I'd love to be better at them, but I suppose that without any dedication whatsoever to the subject I shall remain at my current meager ability.... Unless someone wants to wenroll me as their student of course, and teach me the subtle arts of gfx through a orient orientated training program.
