Title: xbox -- throgh 3d0? Post by: Jared Johnson on March 30, 2004, 01:05:22 am I am wondering if anyone plays sc2 on their xbox? Or how easy it would be to make a port of the game for the xbox?
Did this game ever actually come out on the 3do, and if it did, does anyone have the ROM file? Because I am pretty sure I could find a 3D0 emulator for the xbox and then play it through that. Or has anyone had luck using a DOS emulator for the xbox and just running the standard version of the game through that? The thing is, I want to give this game to my friends with an xbox so that they can see that it IS one of the greatest games of all time. Any help would be appreciated. -Jared Johnson Title: Re: xbox -- throgh 3d0? Post by: meep-eep on March 30, 2004, 03:06:20 am There's no UQM port for the X-Box, nor do the current developers have any plans to make one in the future. However, if you have patches, feel free to send them in.
As for the 3DO version, it's not a ROM. The 3DO used CD's. And there's only one 3DO emulator, FreeDO, which currently only runs on Windows. I don't know about DOS emulators for the X-Box, but I'd say that is your best shot. Title: Re: xbox -- throgh 3d0? Post by: Jared on March 30, 2004, 03:21:40 am Thanks for your help.
I will use the DOS emulator and make a nice key file for the xbox controller and star control specifically. Would you cats be interested in me sending any info/etc. about it when I am done? So it might be useful to post your findings here. |
