Title: Reusing Previously Downloaded Content
Post by: Jorpho on April 07, 2004, 04:31:56 am
Some time ago, I downloaded a 147 MB Windows installer for UQM 0.1.  Is any of the content in this package still useable, or do I have to redownload everything?

You can download a upgrade here.

(I think it only works if you have windows - Not sure about others)

Okay, but the download on that page says it is only updates to version 0.24.

It says on the Downloads page (on sc2.sourceforge.net) that the content format has changed in the most recent version.  What does this mean, exactly?

Originally, UQM's content files (graphics, sounds, etc.) were stored in a subdirectory in the UQM install path. As of 0.3, the files are stored in zip files.

So, in theory, all I have to do is zip up the content files in the install package I have now, and they will work with UQM 0.3?

Is there somewhere I can get a list of the files within the content packages presently up for download, just to be sure?

Some files have changed, some files have been deleted, and some files are new. Not much, but enough to mess things up.
