Title: Request for Low-Polygon Models of SC ships

I'm thinking about setting up a Mod of Vegastrike (http://vegastrike.sf.net) that uses SC models, but the models from SC3D's site and the ones used for Timewarp's bitmaps are all too well-done.  Their polygon count is extremely high, making vegastrike really slow w/o a good graphics card.  Instead of asking the Vegastrike people to make SC models, I figured this group might have some people that can make low-poly models easily (.3ds [versions 2-4; 5-6 don't store all info] preferred, .dxf acceptable too; VS uses a perl script to convert these two types into custom XML mesh-files).
I could probably make a couple, but my modeling experience is rather on the low-end.

Bob McDob (assuming the same guy on VS boards) said he might have spathi and arilou.  Right now, It'd be nice to have the ships whose specials & primaries can be easily emulated with current VS weapons/equipment (Earthling, Spathi, Ilwrath, Thraddash, Mark I). Having the Earthling, Spathi, Ilwrath, Mark I, and a spherical red UQ drone would allow for someone to recreate the initial Sol system in 3D.
