It has a great story... It has some RPG elements... It has exploration elements... It has 'treasure' elements (nothing like finding a rainbow world or an exotic planet)... It has fast paced action (or slow paced tactical action, heh)... It has plenty of projects... It has stuff you can do when you're bored and just don't feel like doing anything else (mining, mapping things, figuring out equations, etc)... How can you beat a game that can cater to a wide audience?
