Title: My new avatar. Post by: JonoPorter on July 10, 2004, 03:15:14 pm It’s a character from my favorite anime. I drew the avatar myself.
Guess what anime and what character and you get… self-satisfaction. So what do you guys think should I stay with the old or keep the new? EDIT: When I looked at it did not survive compression well. So I resized it and cleaned up the extra pixels. Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: Zeep-Eeep on July 10, 2004, 05:57:13 pm Personally, I think that you were better off with the old one.
... This from the big, goofy-looking talking penguin. Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: Shiver on July 11, 2004, 07:34:38 am Quote Personally, I think that you were better off with the old one. ... This from the big, goofy-looking talking penguin. A horrible insult. That auron thing was squished so it looked crappy. Oh hell, my avatar is squished too. Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: ChainiaC on July 15, 2004, 07:21:40 pm Wait a minute... if your avatar is an anime character, then how can it be a self-portrait?
I mean, my avatar actually is my head ;D Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: Deep-Jiffa on July 15, 2004, 07:30:48 pm my avatar > *
:P P.S The old one was better. Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: Chrispy on July 15, 2004, 08:49:05 pm The little red dude or the one that was censored?
Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: Deep-Jiffa on July 16, 2004, 02:22:57 am The correct one!

Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: JonoPorter on July 16, 2004, 05:58:03 am I think i will keep this one, even thought the image looks dirty. someday i just might color it.
the reason for me to keep it? It makes me look like im a very angry person. [joke] and becuase jiffa does not like it. [/joke] MoronicMaria could you slow down the cycle on your gif? it cycles to fast and hurts my eyes to a degree. Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: Deep-Jiffa on July 16, 2004, 06:10:00 am Like it or not, my avatar still can keep you staring at it all night :)
Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: Moronic Maria :D on July 16, 2004, 06:24:26 am True, true.
Quote MoronicMaria could you slow down the cycle on your gif? it cycles to fast and hurts my eyes to a degree. Slowed down the cycle. Hope that helps. Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: JonoPorter on July 16, 2004, 07:51:38 am yep. thanks
also what tools did you use to create it? Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: Moronic Maria :D on July 16, 2004, 08:05:24 am I got lucky and found it on a google search when looking for an animated pirate avatar a few years ago. It was hosted on some site that had a huge bunch of random animated gifs on a single page, so I don't know who created it or how it was done.
However, I think that the effects in it kind of have a photoshopish quality so I can only assume it was created by Adobe ImageReady, Photoshop's primary animation/gif creation program. At least that's what I used to resize the avatar and slow the cycle/framerate. Title: Re: My new avatar. Post by: ChainiaC on July 16, 2004, 01:49:47 pm Ah so that is what imageready is for. I always wondered what the hell that program was supposed to do :P
