Title: Help! My gun is jammed! Post by: Kimera727 on July 19, 2004, 10:08:29 am Unfortunately I have aproblem that downloading the bug fixer does not help; the ordinary fire buetton does not work. I looked at that script that runs "in the background" (the one that tells you which music file is being played) but it doesn't mention anything if I hit a key, whether the special attack key (which still works) or the regular attack key is pressed.
As a result, it's really hard to win with ships like the Mycon, seeing how it can't fire. I'm running Windows 98 and have already confirmed that my keyboard distinguishes from the left and right shift buttons. Does anyone else have this problem? Title: Re: Help! My gun is jammed! To do that go to keys.cfg and open it with notepad - Then change the keys around........

Changing the keys is a work-around. To complement FalconMWC's reply: on Windows 98, the file is usually C:\Windows\Application Data\uqm\keys.conf or C:\Windows\Profiles\YourName\Application Data\uqm\keys.conf if you have setup Windows for multiple users. I don't know why I had to change the keys, but right now I don't really care. It worked. I'm going to change fire to insert and home to special (or maybe home and page up) since it's still pretty convenient. Thanks again! |
