Title: Illwrath VS Melnorme question
Post by: AusME on September 18, 2004, 06:08:16 am
Unfortunately as of late (That is, ever since UQM was released) I have been unable to play human players. So, I've got a question for those who are lucky enough to or who know the code well enough.
What happens if an Illwrath is shot with a confusing beam when the Illwrath is cloaked?

Same thing that happens with all ships when it's hit by the confusion shot.   It starts tumbling, but will remain cloaked until you fire.  In fact, the glitter effects WILL be seen despite the cloak.

And yes I've been hit before by it in computer melee, but not recently.  As far as matchups go, it's an easy fight to go against an awesome Melnorme with an Ilwrath.

Does one of three things, most likely.
1) Destroys the DOGI
2) Damages the DOGI
3) Passes right through the DOGI

I'll take "passes right through" for $400, Alex.

As I understand it, the only thing the Melnorm net does is to
prevent the turning or special keys from working....if it
hits the target ship of course.
