Title: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Shiver on September 26, 2004, 08:52:58 am To those of you just tuning in, I've been working on a SC2 guide on and off for a long time. Too long. I've taken this pretty slow, but now I'm down to just the Ultron quest (which I've already picked up two of the artifacts for), the Syreen/Mycon quest, and the final battle. I don't have access to the computer with the file now, but tomorrow I think I will sit my ass down and finish the guide all at once. And when I've done that, I'll want someone to look it over. It's really damn long, so if you're thinking of posting an "I WILL!!", please do us both a favor and hesitate some more.
And no, I am not pushing myself too hard all at once. The later parts of the FAQ have proven to be the easiest. Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: VOiD on September 26, 2004, 09:14:12 am Seen the post. Considered the offer.
Gimme! :D Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Shiver on September 26, 2004, 12:44:08 pm Quote Seen the post. Considered the offer. Gimme! :D What, aren't you remixing guys busy? Nevermind, it's a deal. See you tomorrow. Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Sander Scamper on September 26, 2004, 01:04:50 pm Aww, I wanna help too, Shiver =p
Glad to hear its close to finish, Can't wait to read it. Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: VOiD on September 26, 2004, 08:51:44 pm Quote What, aren't you remixing guys busy? Nevermind, it's a deal. See you tomorrow. No, we aren't! ...um, I mean, OF COURSE WE ARE! ...but then, um, uh, I wouldn't have time for this... I can't talk my way out of this hole, can I...? Oh well. Just send me the damn thing. Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Deep-Jiffa on September 27, 2004, 05:25:51 am VOiD, I am laughing so hard right now that my parents will wake up soon....3,2,1. Yea that is it. Gotta go, have fun reading the manual ;D

~DEFIANT ps: good job Shiver!! way to go!! Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Shiver on September 27, 2004, 06:44:26 am I finished like 10 minutes ago. Waiting for that one guy to PM me his e-mail.
Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: VOiD on September 27, 2004, 09:19:45 am Read it through in an hour or so, and sent comments.
I should really be studying hard for an assignment at the university, but I find that at the moment, almost everything else is more interesting than reading about Roman expansion during the republic... particularily anything that contains the phrases "turning jets", "fusion blasters" and "Hyperspace". Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Sander Scamper on September 27, 2004, 02:28:55 pm Roman expansion vs UQM is like comparing blowing **** up in chemistry and studying poetry in english.
Want anyone elses opinion, cuz if you do, you have my email...wait...my new email is sanderscamper@gmail.com lol =p Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Shiver on September 28, 2004, 03:52:03 am Quote Roman expansion vs UQM is like comparing blowing **** up in chemistry and studying poetry in english. Working with more than one person at a time would be just begging for problems. Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Sander Scamper on September 28, 2004, 06:42:41 pm =p "Fall back on me?"
Ouch =p Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Shiver on September 28, 2004, 11:36:36 pm Not really, I just took the first competent person that offered. Also, I prefer the credits list at the end have a bunch of people with insignificant roles instead of having me say at the top of the guide "AUTHOR: SHIVER, THE EDITOR THAT SAVED THAT OTHER GUY'S SORRY ASS FROM HIS OWN BAD TYPING: SANDER". Surely this must make some sense to you.
Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: VOiD on September 29, 2004, 03:10:11 am Quote Not really, I just took the first competent person that offered. Wow, I'm being considered competent! Now there's a first! :D Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: TiLT on September 29, 2004, 06:39:27 am Quote Wow, I'm being considered competent! Now there's a first! :D Oh no! Look at what you guys have done! Now I have to get extra inventive in order to push VOiD's spirits into the dirt. :P Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Bartholomew on September 29, 2004, 12:21:01 pm oooh. Can't wait to see it...

I never said you had to even include me in the credits...I mean, just a little note at the bottom will suffice =p Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Shiver on September 30, 2004, 04:13:39 am Quote Your typing wasn't THAT bad... =p I never said you had to even include me in the credits...I mean, just a little note at the bottom will suffice =p The credits ARE a little note at the bottom. Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Sander Scamper on October 02, 2004, 01:34:20 pm =p So why the full caps thing up top? I always thought it would be like this:
ULTIMATE SC2 GUIDE BY SHIVER ........ ......... ........................ edited by Sander...(he didn't really do very much, but I pity him... =p Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Shiver on October 03, 2004, 02:43:30 am Quote =p So why the full caps thing up top? I always thought it would be like this: ULTIMATE SC2 GUIDE BY SHIVER ........ ......... ........................ edited by Sander...(he didn't really do very much, but I pity him... =p I backed out of the "Greatest Guide Ever Made By Man" format a long time ago when I heard about the Wiki index. Had I known how the Wiki thing would actually turn out, I probably would've kept that angle. I haven't done anything related to Super Melee, and don't really plan on it since there's so much stuff on it floating around the internet that I don't want to try and compete with. On another vote, where the hell is Void? He hasn't sent me anything in like three days! Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: TiLT on October 03, 2004, 05:25:47 am As I learned a long time ago, VOiD is merely a figment of everyone's imaginations, and as figments go, they aren't very reliable. ;)

We've only just got started. Title: Re: Last Leg of the Guide Post by: Sander Scamper on October 03, 2004, 03:03:43 pm We need a big wiki banner on this page, as I always (and I assume many others) simply jump straight to general discussion. IMHO
