Title: UQM on Linux... on iPAQ
Post by: Blue_Lightning on February 11, 2005, 04:03:50 pm
Hi all,

I have just recently added a package for UQM to OpenEmbedded (http://www.openembedded.org), which is a cross-building system for building software on handheld devices (well that's one use of it, at any rate). Thus I have had UQM going on my iPAQ running Familiar Linux (http://familiar.handhelds.org) :)

The only problem is that the sound doesn't work very well, and at times during melee it gets really slow. I suspect this could be fixed with a little work. If anyone with an iPAQ and an interest in sticking Familiar on it is keen on helping fix these issues, let me know. UQM would be a great little addition to the games available on such a device.

So, the memory alignment issues have been rectified!  Huzzah!  ;D
A previous (failed) attempt:

Didn't see the package listed on http://ipkgfind.handhelds.org/
Does it only work under Familiar 0.8.x?  Does it use pure SDL (thus work under GPE or Opie?
Please submit it!
