Title: Whooooops.. Art/game inconsistencies! Post by: Megagun on February 27, 2005, 02:52:09 pm (http://home.deds.nl/~megagun/temp/unzervault1.gif)(http://home.deds.nl/~megagun/temp/unzervault2.gif)
Notice the moon on the artwork, but not in the game? :) Hmm.. Maybe the Ur-Quan decided to annihilate the moon, as a warning to the humans that were living on the planet? :P edit: can't be. Look at this end-of-game screenshot: (http://home.deds.nl/~megagun/temp/unzervault3.gif) Title: Re: Whooooops.. Art/game inconsistencies! Post by: Novus on February 27, 2005, 03:38:11 pm A lot of moons of our system are missing in UQM. I can think of several reasons:

Post by: Defender on February 27, 2005, 08:24:19 pm i think it should of been the zeeman star and not a moon. zeeman, being a super giant, would look close to that size in the sky. i suppose you could just use your imagination to picture it that way. heh, nut what star do you know has craters huh...hahaha.
may be someone with a knack for editing could create the star and not a moon. and from me to you...good luck with that. im editing handicapped :P ~DEFIANT Title: Re: Whooooops.. Art/game inconsistencies! Post by: Arne on February 27, 2005, 09:52:01 pm I pointed out this earlier in a nitpick spree. They probably had a freelancer do those. Throwing in a moon makes a nice graphical element.
Also look at the Yehat wings, they two characters have different wing-hand joints. There's also a lot of other stuff too that I forgot. Title: Re: Whooooops.. Art/game inconsistencies! Post by: Art on February 28, 2005, 01:15:56 am It's not that much more of an inconsistency than Phobos and Deimos being "missing" from around Mars. The moons you see on the starmap are moons that are large and geologically interesting enough to be worth landing on and messing with.
Title: Re: Whooooops.. Art/game inconsistencies! Post by: Arne on February 28, 2005, 01:44:54 am Phobos and Deimos doesn't fill up the sky though, and many moons in the game are uninteresting.

They're close together in *HyperSpace*, which is clearly a very different thing. It's about the same distance as Sol is from Sirius, and Sol isn't close enough to *any* star in TrueSpace to make it appear that big in the sky. Title: Re: Whooooops.. Art/game inconsistencies! Post by: Death 999 on March 25, 2005, 11:20:56 pm Could be a different giant star, not accessible via Hyperspace, then.
