Are you tired of working hard and braving death just to make ends meet?  What if I told you you could make TENS OF THOUSANDS OF RESOURCE POINTS all without leaving your solar system?  Too good to be true you say?  Not at all.  In just minutes you can have ALL THE MONEY YOU'LL EVER NEED!!!  Finally! you can buy those ten Juggers you've always wanted.

The secret is simple: instead of slaving away, surveying danerous planets for minerals, then spending hours flying back to base, follow our simple program, and you'll be RICH BEYOND YOUR WILDEST DREAMS.

At the shipyard, replace all non-essential ship's modules with FUEL TANKS.  But make sure they're bone dry.  DO NOT PUT FUEL IN THEM!!  Fly out into hyperspace.  You will be stranded, but the Melnorme will quickly swing by and offer to sell you fuel.  Buy one unit of fuel.  Then have them top off your tanks.  The net charge in credits of this is 0.  Now return to the earth starbase and SELL THE FUEL!!! You'll make 20 economic points per gallon of fuel.  Repeat as necessary until you have ALL THE MONEY YOU'VE EVER DREAMED OF!

Here's a better way (better because it doesn't involve taking advantage of glitches): acquire the Burvixese caster and then buy as many Hi-Ef fuel tanks as u can, and then go to the Druuge and trade them the caster for a fill-up. You'll have the Umgah caster to use anyway, and you can also ruin the life of a druuge and at the same time be able to say you completed the game without cheats! It'll still make you rich.

What?  That's a glitch?  I thought it was supposed to be that way.  Just like I thought the Melnorme were supposed to sell you the same information five or six times.  Dorks.

I know that you know that it's a glitch, I'm just giving a better alternative, thats all.

I have found an easier way to get resources. What you need is a hex editor.  

What you do. search on your computer for a file named starcon2.__ (save number that u want money in) and what you do is you use hex editor and open the file. What you do inside: edit the slots numbered (9,a,b) to ff. You should have around 16,777,215 r.u. (basicly unlimited)

This is much faster and safer compared to the other way that I have been shown. ;D

The Druuge will also buy the Egg Case Fragments. It's
been a while since I played through that part, but I
seem to remember making a few RUs off of the deal.
There are, as I recall, at least three egg case fragments in
Mycon space.

Only problem, (I DON'T BELIEVE IN SLAVE TRADING!!!! ;) ) I use it for the rosy sphere..... I am trying to remember if they accepted two of the egg cases adn what they gave for teh other one... A starship maybe?

I was able to make at least two trades with the Druuge, possibly three, with egg case fragments.  Additionally, I used one for the mandatory evidence for the Syreens.  And I still had one left over at the end of the game.

I'm fairly sure I bought one Druuge Mauler, the Rosy Sphere, and a refueling (I didn't go nuts with it, though), but I might have skipped the refueling.  RU's weren't an issue, I just wanted to make the Druuge unhappy.

There are 3 egg cases. If you show one to the Syreen you get it back immediately, and you are then free to sell that one too.

"MAKE MONEY FAST FROM HOME" may not ring a bell with you guys, but this is obviously a parody of stuff they used to spam forums with years ago. That's quality trolling, sir.

Me, ill just stick to farming rainbow worlds for credit buying, much easier, and buying the info and tech off the melnorme is something that SHOULD be done asap.
The Tech because its almost game critical
The Info because the back story to SCII is just so amazing, to not know it word for word is a crime! =p

You may also notice that this posting was itself made (almost) a couple of years ago.

And Mr. Morse technically violated his own premise.  You have to leave the Sol system to contact the Melnorme.  :P
