Title: Shameless plug! (...aka VOiD's horribly old music)
Post by: VOiD on May 21, 2005, 10:12:06 pm
Since the Starbase Café has gone through a rather dull week following the departure of the much-discussed Zanthius, and seeing as this will be my 200th post, I thought I'd celebrate a little.

How?

Well, I'm going to shamelessly plug (hence the thread title) my old (and by old, I mean old) music webpage, located over at Geocities when that was the place to be. It features the Impulse Tracker files I made in the late 90s, and were also downloadable from Trax in Space, a superb online music community which unfortunately went bust in, oh, 2002 or thereabouts.

The page is entitled Planet VOiD (no idea why) and can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/planet_void. The "downloads" section contains, that's right, downloadable music, and by clicking on the numbers you get to read all the reviews from the nice people over at Trax in Space.

I told you I was shameless. Go listen, if you like.

Very cool. I think some of these tracks have stood the test of time- Deja-vu is amazing!

Winamp should play them just fine, but for more accurate output you could try XMPlayer: http://www.un4seen.com/download.cgi?xmplay32

EDIT: With the XMPlayer, it seems you can also easily convert s3m, it, xm, mod and a host of other formats to mp3 or ogg. Right-click on the main window, choose the 'Device' banner, and pick your preferred format under the Output > Device dropdown menu.
