[SNIP]

Translating something with babelfish doesn't seem to work well. hopefully this gets the message through.

In english: There isn't one. If you want it, you must make it or find someone who wants to make it.

EDIT :Apparently you can't paste Cyrillic to the board. Well, I'll let the english version stand then.

Some people have started a Russian translation. I don't know what the current state of it is. See this thread (http://uqm.stack.nl/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Gendiscuss;action=display;num=1100268348) for more info.

I noticed Translation questions seem to come up a lot. How many of these mod projects are there I wonder, and for which languages?

Ah, good; that's the first complete translation as far as I know.
Maybe we can add it as an addon pack to the installer the next release.

The Finnish translation (http://www2.kyamk.fi/~vi3dhepe/uqm-fin/) has been pretty much finished for quite a while.

Now we just need a translation for the African clicking-language.

How much is "pretty much"?
The Ultronomicon (http://uqm.stack.nl/wiki/Translations#Finnish) still says that the Finnish translation is "almost finished". Is this info outdated?

Off their web page (translated into English for non-Finnish-speakers' benefit):

Quote from: UQM-FIN project
  • Dialogue translation: ~ 100 %, Done
  • Font editing: ~ 100 %, All fonts have Ä and Ö
  • Menu translation: ~ 95 %, All menus translated except the new setup menu (which, surprisingly, is hard-coded)
  • Other stuff: ~ 100 %, Done
Total: ~ 99 %, Just needs a little polishing.

Hmm. Someone maybe ought to move those setup menu strings out of the code.

Well, I know for sure that with UQM 0.3something the german version was ready. Waiting for the next UQM release with support for other languages broke the group, so we just released a 0.4 version as an add-on. But alas, the fine-tuning (minor spelling-errors, line lengths, reformulating to sychonise with the english speech better) and waiting for the last releases, plus my job change broke the group.
After more than two years I finally find the time to turn around and have a look around.

I'm happy to see, you all are still rocking the world, but alas, the last man standing (kudos to GDP_Spaceman and LouZipher) haven't uploaded the last few fixes we had already prepared. So I need to check my files once more for the last copy I had.
But it includes just 3 weeks of hunting minor spelling errors and hunts for maybe better formulations than the ones used.

At that time we were the first to have a complete translation, thanks to a self-made font-tool, which even the italian-group used (BTW: the link on the Ultronomicon to their site is dead).
But simply waiting for new UQM-releases and just fine-tuning to the current release was not enough to bind us. Luckily, the site is still on the berliOS-servers.
