i know this is probably stupid but...

is there a way to retrofit the SC3 storyline, quests, sidequests, etc...  into the SC2(UQM) graphics engine?

in other words can there be a mod made for SC2(UQM)  to make it SC3?

i think if SC3 was shown that way, people wouldnt hate it so much.

and that way you could preserve the way everything is supposed to look.
i already have ideas to do it(instead of making a new uqm game mod that i was planning)
but i just dont know how to code very good, and im waiting for the final release.
i would do graphics right now, but i have no idea what you guys might be changing for the next releases.

the mod could be called...            KQM : Kessari Quadrant Masters  ;)

Yes.  They would.  Why?  because the storyline was absolutely horrid...

Honestly, the game blew.  Be better off making an entirely original spinoff.

so a newer generation can hate it.

i doubt either my ideas or anybody elses will be fulfilled when uqm is finally finished

Because we don't want to be reminded of SC3.

I think the SC3 story is copyrighted, so I don't think you are allowed to copy the text and then distribute it for free. Other than that, you'll have to change some of the SC3 gameplay (starmap, colonies, fuel/resource management) to fit the SC2 gameplay. The gameplay is pretty different, so it's not a trivial task, I think.

It wasnt the graphics/interface I dont like about sc3, its the races/ships/story line.

And sc2, though awsome, can be sequeled. It would just require some creative genious, talent, and a team that can get along.
