Title: Hot Coffee Post by: harth1026 on July 28, 2005, 05:40:52 pm I have developed a hack to remove the black screen from the interactive sex scene contained within UQM. Because the sex scene was already in the original content of the game, the game's rating should be bumped up to AO for Adults Only. Furthermore, when talking to the Slylandro, you can see their private parts on the view screen. TFB has disgraced themselves by putting in nude slylandros into an E rated game.

Title: Re: Hot Coffee Post by: Sage on July 30, 2005, 06:12:18 am The poster of this thread is referring to this Hot Coffee Scandal (http://www.google.com/search?q="hot+coffee") that erupted only just recently. Incidentally enough, I would know nothing about this except I was searching around for some information related to the Nintendo v. Game Genie lawsuit (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=%22Game+Genie%22+lawsuit) and Hot Coffee seems to cross reference with it for some reason I can't quite fathom.

Title: Re: Hot Coffee Post by: christian108 on August 01, 2005, 07:02:09 am I tackled this subject very recently in another forum.....
http://www.crowza.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=007911 Link fixed, I am moron apparently..... Thanks Death 999 Title: Re: Hot Coffee Post by: Zeep-Eeep on August 24, 2005, 10:38:22 pm It's hard to believe people would get some upset about
a little sex scene being added to a game where you STEAL and KILL people. Title: Re: Hot Coffee Post by: Novus on August 24, 2005, 11:29:23 pm ... a game where you STEAL [...] people. I think the word you're looking for is "kidnap". ;)Title: Re: Hot Coffee Post by: Halleck on August 25, 2005, 12:15:26 am The part about this whole fiasco that I find most amusing is the consequence for San Andreas... the previous rating of "Mature" (Ages 17 and up) was pulled, and now they are cursed with "Adults Only" (Ages 18 and up).
Title: Re: Hot Coffee Post by: Okinado on August 25, 2005, 06:29:52 am But you understand, Halleck, that Walmart, GameStop, and other major retailers will not carry AO games at all, right? So the venues were probably will over half the normal sales occur are simply not available.
This is a good thing, of course. And if you compare it to the reactions in Japan, Australia, and elsewhere (outright banning of the game), it's hardly dramatic. Of course, ignorant gamers like to believe America is the worst. You should come to Japan some time. No, I didn't mean kidnap. I meant steal things and kill people. Not steal people. Though the term "steal people" sounds interesting. "Yep, they stole the McLean girl last night. No ransome note or anything." |
