Title: automatic cycling through current menu Post by: justme on August 28, 2005, 03:02:53 pm After playing uqm for 1 to 3 minutes I experance a cycling thru of current menu, first slow the faster untill after about 30 to 50 seconds it stops and begins again. running xp home edition. Please advise, justme

It's not a problem I have seen before. Do you have a joystick connected? It may need calibration (there's something for that in the Windows configuration menu. At least it was on older Windows releases). If you don't want to use a joystick in the game, you can disable it completely for UQM by editing keys.cfg (see here (http://uqm.stack.nl/wiki/The_Ur-Quan_Masters_Technical_FAQ#How_do_I_use_a_joystick_or_game_pad.3F)) and placing a '#' in front of each line that mentions 'joystick'. It's also possible that some key was stuck (or at least UQM thinks that some key is stuck). Some keyboards do weird things if you press enough keys at once. |
