Title: Latest news on content packs? Post by: rk on September 20, 2005, 10:11:37 am Hi all!
I posted a couple of articles here ages ago on how to add your own system to the game and put a trader in it. (See Poking the Source Part 1: Add a new starsystem (http://uqm.stack.nl/forum/index.php?topic=1596.0) and Poking the Source Part 2: Adding a trader (http://uqm.stack.nl/forum/index.php?topic=1597.msg20436#msg20436)) Over a year later I've come back and looked at some of the links posted in forum messages, and I'm constantly amazed at what an awesome job the Star Control community/fanbase has done at collecting game-related information and keeping the spirit going. I'm wondering if any progress has been made in converting game files to the XML format, and creating tools/best practices for adding new game content (new systems, plot, devices, even races). I apologize in advance if I'm duplicating someone else's question and missed the answer. Thanks, and keep up the great work! -Richard Title: Re: Latest news on content packs? Poking the Source Part 1: Add a new starsystem (https://forum.uqm.stack.nl/index.php?topic=1596.0) and Poking the Source Part 2: Adding a trader (https://forum.uqm.stack.nl/index.php?topic=1597.0) Also, curious as it's been a few years - did Content Packs arrive? |
