Title: UQM will not start! 0.4.0 Post by: fyulaba on October 13, 2005, 10:24:06 pm I downloaded the UQM v.0.4.0 from the website and installed it. I tried to run the program but a black MS-DOS screen flashed and then a Windows error saying it had "perfomed an illegal operation and will be shut dows" appeared. My computer froze after this.
I entered the following text into the "Target" field of the UQM.exe properties: --logfile logfile.txt --res 640x480 --bpp 32 --opengl --scale=bilinear --scroll 3do --audioquality high --addon remix My computer no longer freezes when I try to run it, and I no loger receive the "Illegal Operation" notice, but the game will still not run. It still shows a black MS-DOS window for a second or two and then dissapears. >:( Any Suggestions? Thanks! and run UQM from there. Maybe it'll display an error message. Title: Re: UQM will not start! 0.4.0 Post by: Krulle on January 04, 2006, 06:35:53 pm Sometimes the loader keeps being active (and does not automagically switch to the UQM-game) and thus sometimes some Windowsusers (like myself) need to Alt-Tab to the correct UQM to be able to play.
