Just wanted to give out a little update on the game that I'm working on.  If you can't see the image below, we got Shofixti vs Samatra.

This is no where near playable yet, but it's a start.  I still have to put in some collision detection and I want to add some AI before thinking about releasing anything...

You know, this is funny.  I posted this last night and the image looked fine..  Now you get that crap..  Oh well...  I'll figure something else out...

OK... let's try this again.  This time, with Imageshack.

Right now, I have most of the basic physics set up for controlling the ships, I can set it up for primary and secondary weaponry.  My goal wasn't to add any of the SC2 ships but it was easier just to use the existing art from SC2 than it would to make a whole new batch of images for ships.  And I'm more of a programmer than an artist.  For now I'm going to use the SC2 art until I can replace them with my own images.

One of the features I want to add is space terrain such as nebulas and mine fields to mix up the dynamics of combat.  And of course, the main feature I want to add is the 3D starfield for the strategic portion of the game.  Still got a lot to do but it's coming along pretty good.

You can look at TW-Light/TimeWarp if you want to implement sc like melee engine.
