The Ur-Quan Masters Discussion Forum

Hi there!

Is'nt there anyone that done a cool add-one fot the ur quan masters? Perhaps a new race. I see the ur quan has support for add-ons so where can i find them? All I can find is like new voices for the mycon and stuff. But i would like something that gives's me a reason to play the game again like a new story, a new universe or something like that.  :)

Support for add-on is, as I understand it, not complete yet. Wait for 1.0 then get ready. I have a feeling we'll be seeing alot of addons after that.

Right now it's hard to make anything other than cosmetic changes to UQM using addons. We have translations, remixed music and that sort of thing, but adding an entire new race currently requires more than an addon.

i've tried adding a new race, i even had the ship graphics for it and had it all ready, but it never worked, sadly  :'(

well i 'had' them but lost em when i had to reformat, but i had an idea that male syreen could have their own seperate ships and i took one of the concept designs that looked like the syreen ship and modified it to look better and fit in UQM 0.3.0, i made seperate code for the ship itself basing it off the syreen and i had everything set up, but i needed a way to select it, which i couldnt figure it out so i scrapped it, along with my hard drive lol.

maybe one of these days i'll pick it up again when i have more coding experience

The Syreen ship, look at it. Look at it's name. "The Penetrator." Guess what it is? Yup, vibrator. Ribbed for her pleasure.

So the male Syreen's ship should be the male equivelent. I'm thinking 500ft latex doll. You could even call it the Syreen CyberDoll. Got a kind of Anime feel to it. Main weapon, nipple lazers. Secondary weapon, it draws enemies into it's gaping yaw and sucks 4 crew from them.
