Title: linux Compile fedora core run error
Post by: Trepinon on April 23, 2006, 02:41:47 am
Could not copy default key config to user config dir: No such file or directory.

can someone please help me with this error. I think it has something to do with files not being in the right place or maybe file permessions

Could you give us a little more information. For example,
is there a .uqm directory in your home directory? ARe
you trying to launch the program as a regular user
or as root?

Does this happen during install or when you try to run UQM?

Finally figured out what was causing this issue...

During installation in the default dir, the *.uqm files
 under /usr/local/games/share/uqm/content/packages
 were automatically renamed to *.uqm.bin

Basically take out the .bin extension and you're good
 to go.

Seems to me like the loader should have an increased tolerance for variations on the content pack filenames.

.uqm, .zip, .uqm.zip, .uqm.bin etc. should all be acceptable, IMO. Seems to be causing too many unnecessary headaches for such an easily fixable problem.
