The Ur-Quan Masters Discussion Forum

Hello everyone,

I made some signatures based on The Ur-Quan Masters.  I was inspired to make these when I heard that Toys For Bob (TFB) is talking with Activision to make another Star Control game.

Très cool. I usually dislike graphical sig banners, but these look good, are instantly recognisable and, most importantly, are small enough to fit into a sig block.

Now all I have to do is find a discussion group where using one of these is possible (and socially acceptable) but not completely redundant (like here). ;)

I'll start looking for precursor vessel pics, and I'll have that new sig soon...

Absolutely!

This is what you need to add to your signature to add the url:

Just get the http path of the image file, and put it within the tags, and you can change the image.

I went through hell finding good pics, but I managed to make something... :D  I had to play the game and use my ship in a fight to get a pic. :D

These banners are brilliant, nice work. I'm already using the Spathi one on a few other message boards I frequent, maybe we'll get some new players in here between the lot of us.

Awesome work. However, the Mycon one seems a little too cluttered. I think removing the Podship and plasmoid would help keep it a bit more identifiable, and if you want something distinctively Mycon-looking to fill the extra space, how about the Shattered World planet surface? Or, perhaps you could eliminate the actual Mycon (since the narrow bar doesn't really do a good job of showing enough of it) and just showcase the ship, as with the Androsynth one.

I was inspired to do this, because I read that Activision is considering a new Star Control, so I wanted to contribute to the Star Control Universe, in hopes of spreading the word faster. :D

Yes, this thread is old.  ;D  Maybe they'll come back someday.  This was around the time when Alex just mentioned wanting to make a new Star Control, and these forums were much more active back then.
