Title: Color Matching Post by: Captain_Smith on August 10, 2006, 11:36:30 pm One thing I've noticed about this, ever since SC2, in a technical sense is the issue of color matching or adjustments. By this, I mean adjusting the gamma, each color, etc, to overcome color variations, differences, and problems. SC2/UQM can be a real issue for this, since a dark monitor can render the Kohr-Ah ships literally invisible, as well as the Slylandro life meter.
How do people here usually deal with this? Is there a plan to try and make something within UQM to address this? UQM responds in most cases I've seen to the system's colour balance/gamma correction/whatever settings, so you can use those even if UQM doesn't handle the issue itself. Most monitors have a lot of controls, too. As far as I can tell, there's little need to add any colour management stuff to UQM. Title: Re: Color Matching Post by: meep-eep on August 11, 2006, 12:58:57 am UQM already has a command line option for gamma correction, --gamma. It will be included in the setup menu in the future once we have a slider widget.
