Is there a place online where one can see non-screenshot concept art or sketches of Star Control characters, races or artifacts? The reason I ask. . . well, I could swear that I saw a picture in a magazine once of an Orz in a red encounter suit of some kind, kinda like a fishbowl on treads. Did I dream that? Anyway, if people could point me to the treasure-trove of official (i.e. not fan-works) concept art or sketches that I've missed, I'd be super-grateful. Title: Re: Concept art or sketches? Post by: meep-eep on August 20, 2006, 03:31:08 pm I think I have only seen fan-made art like that. The closest TFB material to what you describe that I know of would be in the manual and hints book. My game only came with .pdf files, where there was an image of an Orz in an EVA-suite. It was in black and white, but perhaps it was in colour in the luxery versions.
For original SC2 related material the best source would be Yukki's Magic Box, which nowadays only exists on The Internet Archive (http://web.archive.org/web/20040714065517/http://home.att.ne.jp/wave/rainbow/Toys_for_Bob/). Also a lot can be found at The Pages of Now and Forever (http://www.star-control.com), though most will be fan-created. Title: Re: Concept art or sketches?
