Title: Is Aftermath still being developed? Post by: grayfox777 on August 30, 2006, 12:13:04 am I made a topic on the Aftermath forum about this, which is still up, but it's extremely inactive. I know there's another topic about the game here, but it's really old.
I tried to check the Aftermath website the other day, but it gave me a not found error. Does anyone know what's going on? Title: Re: Is Aftermath still being developed? Title: Re: Is Aftermath still being developed? Post by: Zeep-Eeep on August 30, 2006, 08:03:54 pm I haven't heard much new material from Dr. Dre either.
Of course, if you'll recall, the UQM project was pretty quiet between the 0.3 and 0.4 releases. Or was that 0.4 and 0.5? It's been so long I've forgotten. madgap, have you abandoned the project? ??? I know he has a lot to do, since it's his job to make games and this was just a project he was creating in his own time. But if he's abandoned it, that really sucks. :( Title: Re: Is Aftermath still being developed? Post by: Madgap on May 29, 2007, 01:13:03 am I'm still working, but there was definitely a looong pause there. I just started updating the rendering engine, and I'm aiming to get some sort of playable scenario setup 'soon'.
I'd like to starting posting updates on sourceforge about what I'm doing, as well as more technical explanations about the state of the code for those that are interested. I just need to learn the most effective way to do that. Given that it's a hobby project I can't give any estimates as to when certain features will be done. Whenever it IS done, however, the engine should be more flexible and better looking. Also, the code will be a lot cleaner. -Madgap |
