I'm playing UQM 0.6 currently, and got to Sa-Matra. And despite the fact the Pkunk were "absorbed" by the Yehat before the revolution started, I still got help from them in the very end. Was it planned that way (one only has to start the revolution to get help from Pkunk and Yehat at the end), or that's a bug, and originally, one has to start the revolution before the Pkunk get to the Yehat, otherwise the Pkunk are just destroyed, and there's no help at the end? The sphere of influence represents the size of a race's star fleet. The loss of the SoI does not necessarilly mean the race itself is gone. Before that, I thought that the Pkunk do get annihilated if they come to Yehat before the revolution, so if the Pkunk were already gone, I didn't even try to start it :)
