Title: Question to the Devs
Post by: JHGuitarFreak on January 27, 2007, 07:56:00 pm
Are you gonna keep releasing incremental releases or is 0.6.2 the last one until 0.7.0?

Just wondering so I can start on the mods ;D

Alex is working on some changes to the FMV patch (use original AIFFs instead of WAVs and some minor details), so you may want to wait a while with that.

oops, too late, 0.6.2 of all the mods have been released  ;D
it won't hurt anybody to use the outdated Mod for now, it works perfectly.

Do you know any specific date or time period that this new patch might be released?

Just asking so I can get ready to code.  ;D

To date nobody's found any fatal bugs in 0.6.2, so with luck we won't be releasing for awhile.  0.6.1 and 0.6.2 both exist because of instantly fatal problems in the immediately previous version.

We haven't decided yet whether we're going to do regular micro-releases on the way to 0.7 or not.

Even though no official releases are made, the ship spin video patch should still appear in SVN reasonably soon. Based on Alex's rate so far, I'd estimate that to be sometime between now and May. I think Alex can be a bit more specific than that.
