Game rules
Maximum 200 pts per fleet
Maximum one of each ship type per fleet (no duplicates)
Maximum 40 minutes per melee - Timed out games result in both players losing and exiting the tournament (an effort to nulify boring stalemates)
You must have your team set up before melee - this prevents you adjusting your line-up to counter your opponents team!

Anyone welcome of course. See you this Saturday!
Oooh I can't wait

Well, the hilarious thing is that we had THREE entrants. Which i decided wasn't quite enough to make a go of it.

So we're doing it all again next week, yes we are postponing. So if you were unable to play Saturday you have a chance to reenter this weekend - same time - 4pm Sat EST, 10pm Sat Paris time.

Maybe if enough of you show we can actually have it!

I'm really only posting to boost this thread to the top of the list, and to provide a cheap reminder to come to uqm-arena to enter the KO tournament. Starts 4pm EST (10pm Paris).

We didnt have the numbers last week so the tournment is starting from scratch - so come along!

I'd love to do this, problem is I can not use the current UQM Online Capabilities, it really needs to update for the Lobby Based stuff, (my Hamachi can't seem to get a stable connection, and I couldn't actually fully set up the UQM online version I had back then :/)

A good link for setting up your router I recently discovered is this one (http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm). Just select your router, then "FTP", and then follow the instructions, but where it says port 21 (for FTP), you use port 21837 (for UQM).

And even when there is a lobby, you'll still need your router and/or firewall properly set up.

Well, after a gruelling knock out tournament consisting of many hard-fought games we finally had a winner of the Pkunk Plate on Saturday. Congratulations to Tiberian who dispatched all on the way to the title.

A good time was had by ALL who entered.

Look out for the next tournament to be held some time in March. Hopefully even more will enter!

Any word on the next tournament?  I'd like to get involved.....

I also have a web site where we could post the results to, if anyone would be instersted in doing so.  We could also form some sort of ranking system, much like for the forum user list here.  That is, unless the admins of this site would not care for doing so.
