Title: v0.6.2 startup problem Post by: Jenner on April 03, 2007, 08:41:12 am Ok, trying to play the new release, but when i try to start the game from either the shortcut or actual file, i get the following error window.
"The Ur-Quan Masters has encountered a fatal error. Part of the log follows: The Ur-Quan Masters v0.6.2 (compiled Jan 15th 2007 13:56:34) The software comes with ABSOLUTLEY NO WARRANTY; for details see the included 'COPYING' file. Netplay protocol version 0.3. Requiring remote UQM version 0.5.4. Repair your keys.cfg file to continue." Having finally tracked down the keys.cfg file, i have no idea what it is i need to do to it. Originally i installed 0.6.2 over my previous install (either 0.6.0 or 0.6.1, not positive which), and then tried uninstalling and reinstalling the whole thing to no avail, same error each time. Anyone know what i need to do? Title: Re: v0.6.2 startup problem Post by: Novus on April 03, 2007, 02:11:54 pm The easy solution is to delete the offending keys.cfg file. As it's part of the user settings, not the UQM installation, reinstalling will have no effect.

Though i actually deleted the whole folder whilst attempting to all the game data was uninstalled, still seems to work though. Thanks!
