Title: PoNaF Star Control Petition
Post by: Valaggar on April 15, 2007, 06:26:24 pm
Well, looking at that petition (http://starcontrol.classicgaming.gamespy.com/petition/), I see two things:
1) It's advancing awfully slow.
2) It's nowhere near the 100,000 quota.
3) The archive ends in 2004, and the recent signatures are automated spam. What's this, nobody's signing anymore? Or are they hidding the signatures and revealing them only in 4 to 4 years? I think so, since my signature isn't shown there.

There's also the petition page at http://sc2.sourceforge.net/petition/petition.php (http://sc2.sourceforge.net/petition/petition.php), I wonder how many people have signed it.

The PNF petition is an old one, and has nothing to do with Alex' call for support. It has stopped working long ago too.

Ahaa... somehow I knew it, somehow I didn't. Anyway, thank you for... "reminding" me what I didn't... know.

I'm going to mail Alex Ness, maybe he knows something about the signature numbers, though I personally doubt it.

Well, I can tell you approximately how much has gone through the petition form. But most is spam. I estimate about 7500 are valid petition entries.

*sigh* *sigh* *sigh*
So my TBA date for the Star Control sequel (somewhere around 2090) is still valid.  :'(
