Title: 2 things that might need a fix?
Post by: Dracophile on April 16, 2007, 02:16:43 am
1) There are some planets that state a lander cost of 0.10(as opposed to .1).  The game takes this to mean a cost of 1.0.  Is there some way to correct this? (this was a problem in the original game)

2) I have difficulty, at times, telling where a planet is(one of the small ones) and what is a "background star," especially in a system with numerous planets.  Is there any way alter the planet's appearance to more readily identify it as a planet?

1. This should have been long fixed (somewhere in 2003). What version are you running? Note that the problem is that the cost is displayed incorrectly. The correct fuel usage is actually 1.0.
2. No, you can't change the planet's appearance. But they might be better discernable if you play a bit with the brightness and/or contrast.

It sounds like you might be talking specifically about Vela? This star is overshadowed by its much larger neighbour Zeeman. The only way you can see it is by zooming in to the max on Zeeman.

No, he's talking about the solar systems, where the planets can sometimes be hard to see against the background.

Yes in future I shall read the question before attempting to answer it.
