Title: Audio Capture Post by: Zeep-Eeep on May 16, 2007, 08:32:06 pm I'd like to make some movies of Super Melee battles. I've tried some video capture
software, but all I get is the video, no audio. Would someone here be able to recommend software (preferably free) that I can use to turn my Melee experiences into videos. I'm using Windows XP. Thanks! Title: Re: Audio Capture Post by: Valaggar on May 16, 2007, 09:15:01 pm Look here:

Title: Re: Audio Capture Post by: Bigryan on May 18, 2007, 04:40:55 am It's possible to set your audio input device to line out on xp instead of microphone. Go to volume control -> properties -> recording device and you should be able to set up windows to take your line out as input, then you go and record with your software.
not all sound cards support this. Title: Re: Audio Capture Post by: Shiver on June 16, 2007, 03:11:48 am FRAPS does audio capture as well as video capture extremely well. It has two downsides:
1) You gotta pay to record for more than 30 seconds at a time. 2) Windows-based. Some people can't use it. Title: Re: Audio Capture Post by: Novus on June 16, 2007, 12:44:35 pm I'd look into adding recording abilities to SuperMelee (the netplay code is a good foundation to build recording facilities on, and getting full-quality video of UQM games at a data rate of a kilobyte or so per minute (without even trying to compress) would be awesome if people want to share their gameplay videos), but there's a lot of other nice stuff that needs to be implemented.
