Title: The two install packages depend on each other! (Linux)
Post by: AxAeo on June 15, 2007, 03:37:01 am
When I try to run uqm-content... It tells me it has a missing dependancy - "uqm". But when I run uqm.... It tells me that it is missing dependancy uqm-content! What gives?

Are you trying to install RPMs by hand or something?  apt or yum should take care of this for you.

But yes, the packages are dependent on one another.  You need to install them both at the same time.

Sorry... I'm a total Linux noob. How do I get them to both install at the same time? (Using Ubuntu if it helps)

On Ubuntu:

sudo apt-get install uqm

Oh... I feel really stupid now, it says that right on the downloads page...

My question now is, how do I get the music and voices? apt-get install doesn't work for them anymore, and I've downloaded the archives from the download page, I'm just not sure where to put them...
