Title: Cannot change cyborg to human in Super Melee

I can enter the Super Melee screen and select ships normally.  The bottom fleet is human control I can change that to any of the cyborgs if I want . The upper says also human control but i can't change the fleet's 'controller' ! it is stuck to Human Control!  When I enter Melee the game runs fine, exept the upper fleet is on Awesome cyborg regardless the ship select screen saying human control. So I can't play against any of my friends :'( Please help me.

Zarnium seems to have the same problem; I think we have a bug here.

Please submit a full bug report including your configuration files. After that, deleting the configuration files may work around the problem.

I think this was a problem in the 0.6.0 release, which would corrupt your melee config file. Just delete melee.cfg (see here (http://uqm.stack.nl/wiki/The_Ur-Quan_Masters_Technical_FAQ#Where_are_my_settings_stored.3F)) and you should be fine.
If you want to keep your current fleet, save it before deleting the config file.

Do you have a Bugzilla entry for this? I can't seem to find any mention of this there or in the ChangeLog.

It looks like the bug was not present in any released version. It was introduced and quickly fixed before 0.6.0.
The config file corruption should only occur if a pre-0.6.0 snapshot with Netmelee was used.
If no such snapshot was used, and a similar problem showed up using a recent UQM version, then maybe there's another bug (although it's surprising it would go unnoticed for so long).

The patch that fixed the bug is this one (http://sc2.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/sc2/trunk/sc2/src/sc2code/melee.c?r1=2577&r2=2588).

When this happened on my computer, there was a corrupted hidden file I had to delete using Terminal mode called "melee.cfg". I have a Mac, though, so I don't know how useful this is to you.

Mina: Well, if your using Windows XP, the melee.cfg file is in your Documents and Settings folder under the account where UQM was installed. It's in a normallly hidden folder called "Application Data". The path to the file should look like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\(account)\Application Data\uqm

Where (account) = your system administrator name or whatever name you normally log into when using Windows XP.

I must say, i'm happy that the problem in now solved, deleting melee.cfg helped. But i have version 6.2 and i haven't played net melee until recently and the problem appeared earlier. ???
