You can make a mod for that. Just download the UQM source code from here (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/sc2/uqm-0.6.2-source.tgz?download), go to sc2\src\sc2code\ships\human. In human.c, MAX_THRUST is the maximum speed of the ship, THRUST_INCREMENT is how much acceleration a single propulsion red dot provides, and THRUST_WAIT is how many frames you have to wait between two consecutive propulsion red dots. Ignore the commented part (the part between /* and */).After making the necessary modifications, save and compile. See here (http://koti.mbnet.fi/lonnberg/MinGWUQM.txt) for compiling under Windows. Replace UQM's executable with the executable you get (in the sc2 directory it will be), or rename the new executable and put it in the UQM folder (be sure to use the new executable to run UQM). You will not be able to netplay if you use this modified UQM (unless you netplay with someone that has this modified UQM too). For the earthling it's speed is it's weekness.

Title: Re: More speed for Earthlight cruiser Post by: Novus on August 11, 2007, 12:14:11 pm What do the codes mean 0XDEC0DE? Step-by-step:Code: apt-get source uqm This is the command to get the source code for UQM; enter in the shell of your choice.Code: apt-get install gcc make libsdl1.2-dev libsdl-image1.2-dev libogg-dev libvorbis-dev zlib1g-dev This should get all the stuff needed to compile UQM.RTFM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFM) and Profit! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underpants_Gnomes#The_Gnomes) summarise the remaining activities you need to perform. I never heard that song before yesterday. I did a quick search of it and thats what I found. I see Y.O.D.A is on that list. Now thats one I thought for sure was done by him ( W.A.). Learn something every day. ;) Title: Re: More speed for Earthlight cruiser Post by: Novus on August 12, 2007, 01:05:18 am I see Y.O.D.A is on that list. Now thats one I thought for sure was done by him ( W.A.). Learn something every day. ;) However, he did do "Yoda", as evidenced by his catalogue (http://www.weirdal.com/catalog.htm). Basically, there's so much confusion about what Weird Al has or has not written that it's best to check the official listings.Title: Re: More speed for Earthlight cruiser Post by: meep-eep on August 12, 2007, 01:10:16 am Actually, Weird Al did do a song named Yoda, to the tune of Lola by the Kings. The one that is not his is Y.O.D.A. to the tune of Y.M.C.A. by the Village People. That one was apparently done by "The Great Luke Ski".

Oh, well.
