Title: Hello everyone! Post by: The Trooper on October 29, 2007, 12:43:56 pm I just dicovered the game I always dreamed of playing, but didn't know existed until three days ago: Starcontrol 2. I couldn't believe such a game have existed for so long without me knowing it!
But after playing for 3 days straight, the kohr-an started bombing everyone to ashes, and so all my savegames are useless.. Guess I spent too much time drawling and gaping at the gorgeous game for two in-game years.. Anyway, I'd really like to get started playing super-melee with other people.. Is there anything I need to update/download to do so? And how does it work, do we have to pm eachother ip's and whatnot? Thanks, T Title: Re: Hello everyone! As for your question about playing melee against each other, you have two options; 1. hotseat; find someone to play with you on the same computer on a different part of the keyboard or with a joystick/gamepad. 2. Netmelee. Please read the Netplay Howto (http://uqm.stack.nl/wiki/Netplay_howto) for setting that up. Title: Re: Hello everyone! Post by: The Trooper on October 29, 2007, 01:05:10 pm Thank you!
Do you guys use Hamachi? Is the (hamachi)servers descibed in your link active and such? Title: Re: Hello everyone! Post by: Koowluh on October 29, 2007, 01:11:14 pm I myself do not use it and some people do have experimented with it. It was functional, albeit slower. Your best bet is opening a port on your router/firewall though, and if you cannot manage that, find people who are willing to host the game. Most people do not object to doing that.
