Title: Gameplay Questions Post by: OHHDEAR on January 15, 2003, 03:12:30 am First, the Zoq Fot Pik clued me in to a planet with some sort of door on it that seemed to be related to the Ur-Quan, but my lander crew have no clue how to work it. Give me a VAGUE hint as to who to talk to to get this open, please
Second, the Ur-Quan/Kohr-Ah fight is fake. They do not fight each other, they just kill me and me alone. Title: Re: Gameplay Questions Post by: Nic. on January 15, 2003, 03:57:30 am It is pretty cool to see other people living through today what I went through ten years ago..
Suffice it to say, this game has been around for ten years now, so the walkthroughs have been around for at least 9 years :P There's a few of them over at The Pages of Now & Forever (http://www.classicgaming.com/starcontrol/files/sc2.shtml), go forth get informed! Title: Re: Gameplay Questions Post by: Burpmaster on January 15, 2003, 08:26:46 am Careful asking for vague hints here. Many people don't seem to know what that means. I've seen plenty of people just blurt out the answers.
And now the hint: Keep track of this planet. When you need it, you'll know, so don't worry about it for now. You asked who to talk to but that might be a bigger hint than you realize. And second, this game doesn't really have a way of showing the Ur-Quan and Korh-Ah battle eachother. Title: Re: Gameplay Questions Post by: wminsing on January 15, 2003, 08:28:52 am LOL, that damn door gave me so much trouble! And this was with the collecters CD that came out a few years ago with SCIII, with the damn guide on the CD. Took me a lot will power not too look at the guide though.
As for the Kohr-Ah/Ur-Quan battle, I believe deep in their mutual space (if you can get there) there are some systems that have both Marauders and Dreadnuaghts duking it out. I don't know if this is a real memory or a Barque's Cream Soda induced one ;). -Will Title: Re: Gameplay Questions Post by: Kloreep on January 15, 2003, 09:41:35 am I've never seen the two Ur-Quan races duking it out; but, with the exception of the ZFP's homeworld, I only visited about six or seven systems in Ur-Quan territory each game. (And the same ones, too.)
Title: Re: Gameplay Questions Post by: Scott on January 15, 2003, 09:04:10 pm Aren't there Ur-Quan and Kohr-Ah fighting around the Sa-Matra?
Title: Re: Gameplay Questions Post by: Death 999 on January 16, 2003, 01:38:23 am No, that's sacred territory. They're its guards.

Yes, I noticed this conspiracy too. I suspect they're all staging this giant farce of a war just for the sake of entertainment by forcing you to run around the galaxy performing tasks they've made up. I imagine that the Chmmr/Chenjesu are in on it, and they conspired with the Ur-Quan from the start to incorporate the human race in some sort of bizarre galactic 'Truman Show'. The so called "Precursor ship" you're piloting probably has a billion hidden cameras inside it. Title: Re: Gameplay Questions Post by: Lukipela on April 08, 2003, 09:28:36 pm Uh-Oh... Maybe I shouldv'e been a bit politer to everyone, and not blown ppl up for fun... I didn't realize I was on the air!

The one where they found out Aliens planted the world with all different races and were making a reality show called "Earth." Funny concept, but could of been better. |
