Hi everyone, I wanted to let you in on the deadly, pan-galactic secret that is Gammon Trigger! This space-faring adventure of epic proportions is being brought to you by Naixela Software, and we'd like you to take a look and let us know what you think! Gammon Trigger is in the classic vein of Star Control and Star Flight. We currently have a beta demo and are looking for people to try it out and see just how dreamy it is. You can find more info at http://www.gammontrigger.com/. Please let us know what you think! The galaxy rests in your hands. http://www.gammontrigger.com (http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa76/lordkhronos/gammon_forums_1.jpg) (http://www.gammontrigger.com) Title: Re: Space-faring adventure and derring-do! Looks like it's got a little bit of Escape Velocity thrown in as well, which means it's likely that the game will be incredibly awesome. Too bad I don't have any way to play Windows games. A bigger, better, prettier version of EV would be nice! 8) Title: Re: Space-faring adventure and derring-do! Post by: Shiver on June 27, 2008, 02:42:58 am The missiles were mostly useless against the fast tutorial enemy, but that might be intentional. There's an awful lot of roving enemies around once that Faylen Fighter bites the dust. I got killed pretty quick after that.

Mining seems a bit boring, just clicking all over the map. I didn't really get what the mining scan was for. :-[ Trading seemed cumbersome too, loads of clicks. And I think minerals should be separated from things like a warp drive. (Buy a hundred warp drives?) Where do I get fuel? I could still fly without it. The warp thing didn't seem to work though. Maybe I do need to buy a hundred warp drives. Didn't really get the hang of fighting. :-[ But I only played for like ten minutes. Loved the graphics. And of course, a million points for the SC style in gameplay/story. Title: Re: Space-faring adventure and derring-do! Post by: guesst on June 30, 2008, 04:39:04 pm Mining seems a bit boring, just clicking all over the map. "..and windows sucks. Too much clicking. Mac OSX is no better. Have to click for everything. And then there's the minesweeper mini-game. I just can't stand clicking."Trading seemed cumbersome too, loads of clicks. Ha ha. Title: Re: Space-faring adventure and derring-do! Post by: Resh Aleph on June 30, 2008, 06:47:37 pm Yeah, except those examples aren't really repetitive (in Minesweeper you actually need to think where to click). The things I mentioned could be streamlined, e.g. "sell all minerals". I was basically comparing it directly to SC2. :P
