The commentors or the people who made that list?

Not sure why a Yahoo poll is worth getting angry with. The stuff they fill the front pages of MSN, Yahoo, AOL and the like have always consisted of a little bit of headline news and a lot of garbage.

Yeah. I'm not sure the people who take the time to vote in Yahoo polls are actually that big sci-fi fans.

EDIT: Also, you hate this and rap music. Maybe you should watch your blood pressure, lest you explode in rage?

Dabir: the people who made that list. But there were a large number of people who were commenting on how the Dark Knight should be the number one sci-fi movie. That might be a sign of the Apocalypse.

Lukipela: I agree with you about my blood pressure. Both of those threads have a common theme though. The general swarms are always going to make poor decisions, especially in regard to their tastes.  You don't need to be a huge science fiction fan to know better than to put Iron Man ahead of Star Wars in any movie top 10 list (unless it's best to worst).

Shiver: Yes, the yahoo pages are full of garbage. That's the problem. I'm not exactly angry, just disappointed.

While I don't disagree, it pays to be careful with this kind of thinking. Elitism can skew your perception just as much as being part of the "swarm".

Sci-fi is still not that mainstream though, especially older sci-fi. It's only in the last few years that comic book movies have moved them over to much broader audiences. People are simply voting for what they know and have seen.

Not arguing with you, just saying it's not that surprising. Most people aren't that fascinated by scifi. If they were, we'd have a lot more sci-fi movies, and Starcon on Ice would be reality already.

Ah yeah. Poor wording on my part. I didn't mean to put myself above the plane of the general decision making and didn't mean anything derogatory with the word swarms. It's just my opinion, not for the sake of being an elitist.

<Additional anger cut for time>
That's a small sample.

There's medication you can get for that, and many folks have found that they can once again lead productive lives once they start on it. You don't have to be a slave to your anger anymore. ;)
