Title: IRC Problems?
Post by: Durandal on February 04, 2009, 12:23:03 am
So, since I got a bit bored of working on ship sprites, I figured i'd check out the IRC channel to see if there was anybody on to melee. However, when I try to connect to the IRC channel it just lags out or something. Does anybody even use it anymore?

What do you mean by "it lags out"? The #sc2 channel is pretty calm most of the time, with bursts of activity.
If you're having trouble connecting using the web irc client, try a standalone one. MIRC is an often used one for Windows, and for Unix-like systems irssi is a good one to run in a terminal. The Opera web browser also has IRC support.

I'm using chatzilla. It fails to connect at all, just sitting there trying to.

You could try one of the other Freenode servers from this list (http://freenode.net/irc_servers.shtml). Though "irc.freenode.net" should rotate between servers.
